TextQL is a data platform designed to help you automatically surface insights from any given dataset. You can communicate with Ana, our data scientist, using natural language and get verifiable analyses that range from simple queries to complex visualizations.

Why TextQL?

TextQL empowers everyone in your organization to quickly derive valuable business insights without writing SQL. By translating natural language questions into correct-by-construction queries, TextQL accelerates decision-making and reduces the burden on data teams. Non-technical users can confidently explore data on their own, while data professionals save time previously spent on repetitive query writing and troubleshooting.

Quickstart

If you’re new to TextQL, here is a quick guide for getting started with our platform.

Your First Chat

The easiest way to learn how to use Ana is to start a chat with a CSV or Excel file upload. Chatting with file uploads allows you to experiment with Ana, without a data warehouse connector or ontology. Check out this quick tutorial for sample datasets and chat-flows.

Connectors

Head to the connectors page when you’re ready to connect a live datasourse. The Connectors Page lets technical users add new connectors, preview existing data, and resync after schema changes. Once your connectors are set up, you’re ready to build an Ontology and start asking Ana questions. Add your first connector.

Ontology

After setting up your first conenctor, you’re ready to build an Ontology. An ontology is a structured blueprint of your business’ data that helps TextQL interpret queries accurately. Ontologies capture the key concepts, relationships, and attributes of your business’ data, enabling both non-technical users and Ana to navigate information seamlessly. Learn how to setup an ontology.
