Ana is the primary interface into the TextQL product, and the only page that the non-technical user needs to go to get their data-driven questions answered.

Chatting With Ana

Ana is a pre-trained large language model structured as a chat bot.

Because TextQL does not train Ana on customer data, Ana starts out with little inherent knowledge of what data, documents, etc. are connected to the TextQL platform.

How Ana Works

Ana operates in different modes to process your questions and provide answers. These modes help organize Ana’s workflow and keep you informed about what’s happening.

Modes

Ana’s modes include:

  • Core Modes: IDLE, QUERY, PLAN, and DONE for basic interactions
  • Analysis Modes: ANALYZE, CLEANUP, and VISUALIZE for data processing
  • Helper Modes: HELP, META, and REVIEW for additional assistance

An ideal Ana chat goes something like this:

  1. The user asks a question to Ana.
  2. Ana processes the question and switches between appropriate modes to find and analyze the answer
  3. The user views the answer and is either satisfied, or continues to ask follow-ups and make adjustments or corrections.
