Configuration Tips

1

Start Minimal

Only enable the tools you need for each chat to improve performance and reduce costs. You can always create a new chat with different tools enabled.
2

Combine Tools Strategically

  • Web Search + Text to SQL: Enrich warehouse data with external context
  • Python + Text to SQL: Advanced analysis and visualization
  • Ontology + Python: Consistent metrics with custom visualizations
3

Use Ontology for Consistency

If you have an ontology configured, enable it before starting analysis for more accurate and consistent results.
4

Extend with MCP

Use MCP servers to connect Ana to your organization’s specific tools and services like Notion, GitHub, or internal APIs.
Changing Settings Mid-Chat: Once you initialize a chat session, you cannot change tool settings mid-conversation. To use different tools, you’ll need to create a new chat instance.
